Well, let's leave this trash pile, ex-art-site, called deviantArt. We've tried, but in the end, it got clogged up with stupid anime fan"art". We've fought in the name of the greatest form of human communication, but entertainment and stupidity prevailed. I'm tired, my friends. I will retire to my library, to rest in the good old classics, to contemplate the big achievements of a humanity that now is condemned to idiocy. I will go away not only because of those damned shit-uploaders, but yet because of the brainless "Lulz"-seekers - those bored fat american basement-dwellers, that thought that I was one of them. I have not did it for the lulz. I've did it for the art. So here you go, take this place, fill it with your shit, oh stupid modern world!

I will retire where your stupid voices are inaudible, where your visual pollution won't be seen, where the stupid dance of lights and noise of your tv sets with all your vacuous entertainment can't reach!

I've tried to save you, but you've bitten the hand of your benefactor.

Yeah, I agree. Art is something someone puts a lot of effort into. It's something that has a profound impact and changes one's life, for better, or worse. That is the true meanin of art.

Posting screenshots on DA is not art. It's theft.

It can be debated what is art, entertainment, emotional responses, or just a feeling of awe. Everyone views art differently. A cartoon is just a cartoon. A drawing is just a drawing. A song is just a song. But when someone feels some sort of other wordly power or strenth from it, that makes it true art.

Yeah, I get tired of seeing all of the anime "art" on here too. Half of them are just screenshots or modified characters. Too many people making DeviantART a Myspace also.

Whats your view on cartoons as "art"? I don't mean, "OMG SO KAWAII DESU ANIME" art, but things like cartoon with an artists actual style, one thats different or new.

Who cares what I think? If some work causes you a profound emotion, or it transports you to some other place, or it changes your life in some way, who the hell can tell you that is not art? But if it just entertains you...
